We recommend a check once a year. It covers electrical checks in the pump chamber and control cabinet, pump cleaning and inspection. Annual servicing costs a fraction of an emergency replacement.

If it is safe to do so, switch off the pump breaker and stop using the drains so the chamber does not overflow. Do not open the chamber unnecessarily - dangerous gases can build up in sewage pits.
